The Commons Podcast

The Commons is an independent podcast written, edited and produced by Bowdoin students. Each episode is an exploration of the Bowdoin experience through segments in which we dive a little further into the Bowdoin psyche through conversations, reflections and investigations.

“The Good Guys” (writing, hosting, and production)

What does it mean to be a “good guy”? In this episode, we interview three male students who are involved with the campus group BMASV – Bowdoin Men Against Sexual Violence – to better understand how masculinity contributes to its message and the campus culture as a whole.

Faith and Place (writing, hosting, and production)

What does it mean to carry the Lord with you wherever you go? In this episode, we interview two student leaders of on-campus Christian groups to better understand how religion operates at Bowdoin and how faith can be cultivated in a seemingly secular space.

Election Season (VO and production)

How is Bowdoin preparing for the upcoming midterm elections? In this episode, we talk to students involved with the Maine Democrats and the College Republicans, to see what different partisan groups are up to on campus.
